Placement Student

At HB&O, we’re looking for dynamic and enthusiastic university students to join us for their placement year, beginning either September 2025 or September 2026.

We’re a team of passionate experts, specialising in supporting businesses and individuals through every stage of their professional and personal life. Our clients come from all different walks of life, operate in all kinds of different sectors and bring different experiences, passions and motivators to their work, but they all have a common goal, which is to be successful in their own right. 

In this placement, you will have the opportunity to learn how to prepare statutory reports and corporation tax returns with the accounts team, gain experience with management accounts and VAT returns, and learn how we provide assurance to clients as part of the audit process.

Your placement year will enhance your understanding of the concepts learned during your first and second years at university and the practical exposure will be beneficial as you progress to your final year. This placement will allow you to apply your theoretical knowledge in a real-world setting and will provide valuable insight into the accounting industry.
