On December 19th, some of the team volunteered at a local charity in Leamington Spa, Helping Hands Community Project. They extend compassionate and practical support to those struggling with the causes and effects of homelessness and the work they do is truly inspirational.
Whilst the service Helping Hands provide is of course in need of support all year round, there’s no doubt that the concept of ‘giving’ is more at the forefront of our minds at this time of year – so last night, our team gave some of their time. The Soup Kitchen Takeover is a fantastic way for individuals and groups to get involved and play a part in making a difference to those who need a ‘hand-up’ not just a ‘hand-out’ (Helping Hands’ motto).
The local community is extremely important to us and we’re very fortunate to have such an incredible charity on our doorstep whose mission we wholeheartedly support.
We would also like to express our thanks to Five Rivers, a local Indian Restaurant, who donated forty portions of rice to accompany our chicken curry – what a great community we are part of.
